About Our Practice The Midwest Center for Transformational Change is a unique counseling practice in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Anne Lindyberg, is passionate about helping her clients achieve their dreams. The Midwest Center for Transformational Change is the only mental health practice in the state to offer Satir Transformational Systemic Therapy (based on The Satir Model): an innovative, evidence-based, experiential approach (fully inclusive of CBT) to help clients with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, career problems, relationship conflict, and other challenges. The Midwest Center for Transformational Change also uses the Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR®) technique, another evidence-based approach, to support full recovery from PTSD and other trauma related symptoms. Satir Transformational Systems works well with EMDR, allowing clients to achieve their goals even faster. Clients can visit the Cedar Rapids office for in-person care or they may opt for internet-based telehealth sessions. The Midwest Center for Transformational Change welcomes all Iowans, as well as expatriates and other English speakers living in Mexico, the Caribbean, South America, Europe, Africa and Asia through telehealth.
